Update

Hi there,

Sorry for the newsletter but haven't the time for individual emails yet.
Slowly finding our feet. Spent almost all of past week at Magz parents place in Prague. Originally went there to obtain a long stay visa & came away with a permanent residence permit !! So I've taken the first step to EU citizenship & in the meantime can enjoy Schengen travel. An appropriate celebration was held.
When M's mother decided to go for a visit to a friend in another town we decided to stay on to keep her dad company. Good deed but never got to doing any work at the chalet. I arrived here to two days of perfect weather & then overnight temperature plummeted 15C. Has recovered a bit but the return of the warm weather predicted by the weathermen has not materialized. On occasion a Siberian breeze chills the African blood. Supposed to be early for such cold weather & we are gradually starting to get an uncomfortable feeling towards the approaching winter. My task for later this am is cutting firewood. Fortunately have a chainsaw to assist ........ but on Mon will order a load of wood from a contractor.
Top priority will be insulating the chalet but seems as if we wont manage to do much before winter strikes as my tools are not here & don't want to buy new ones now. We have been talking to persons in the know as to what needs to be done ....... the installation of a vapour barrier is the practical difficulty I am wrestling with presently. Are going to visit one of M's friends this pm to see first hand as he has recently done the job at his chalet.

(Penny can you please forward to other interested parties at CE.)

Regards,
Randolph.
